Clothing: A very personal issue. The
topic often includes "what is the best stuff to wear?"
and that is pretty tough to answer because it depends.
Some of us remember riding in the 60s where the uniform
was a jacket sometimes, jeans, combat boots, gloves of
some kind, and a 3/4 helmet. If you rode dirt you wore
a jersey, padded leather pants, and maybe some
lineman's boots along with a helmet and goggles.
Remember the funny gloves with the foam glued to the
back of the fingers? Well, times have changed.
A discussion on clothing may be best served by thinking
like a backpacker or mountaineer who see things in
layers. What follows is a discussion about clothing
that we sell in the dealership - that we wear - and how
it performs or functions as a layer, if you will.
Of course there are other great brands available to
riders, but we are in the business of campaigning what
we sell because we believe it is high quality equipment
and we us it; therefore feel comfortable endorsing it.
Please note that some of us have had the unfortunate
ability to crash test some of these products - and we
will tell you how they held up.
